Presidential Debate

I was one of two public relations professionals on staff when Lynn University hosted the third and final presidential debate between President Barack Obama and Governor Mitt Romney on Oct. 22, 2012.

59.2 million viewers tuned in to the Lynn debate, approximately 3,500 media personnel were on campus, and the event garnered more than 6.5 million tweets. As one of the largest public relations events an institution can host, my team and I spent one year planning, preparing and executing the presidential debate in order to enhance Lynn’s brand through media coverage, to meet the needs of the thousands of journalists attending and to optimize existing and launch new social media platforms.
